Zurab Amirian Extends Contract at Feyenoord Until Summer 2028

28 January 2026 - Rotterdam, Netherlands

Feyenoord Rotterdam has extended the contract of Zurab Amirian, who will continue in his role as Head of Coaching & Methodology until the summer of 2028.

Amirian has been part of the Feyenoord Academy since April 2025, where he plays a key role in shaping the club’s youth development framework. Prior to his move to Rotterdam, he worked at Rangers Football Club as Head of Academy Football, gaining extensive experience in elite academy environments at the highest level.

At Feyenoord, Amirian’s responsibilities are centred around three core areas: the development of coaches within the youth development phase (U13–U16), the ongoing refinement and implementation of the club’s methodology, and the individual development of players. Together, these pillars are designed to ensure a strong alignment between the club’s football vision and the daily practice on the training ground.

Speaking about the contract extension, Amirian reflected on his time at the club and the road ahead:

“I’m extremely proud to extend my contract. Feyenoord is a fantastic club to work for. Being part of such an ambitious environment, surrounded by great people and talented players on a daily basis, is something I truly value. I’m very much looking forward to continuing this journey and building for the future together.”

The extension underlines Feyenoord’s confidence in Amirian’s work within the academy and its long-term commitment to continuity, development, and methodological consistency across the youth pathway.
